What is Ketamine and How does it Help?
Ketamine is a legal, safe and effective medicine used to treatment a variety of mental health conditions, including depression, anxiety and PTSD. Ketamine has rapidly acting antidepressant and mood-enhancing effects, which can begin to take effect within 1-2 hours after treatment. Ketamine enhances the neuroplasticity of the brain by acting on the brain’s receptors. These receptors are responsible for helping to form new synaptic connections that help to regulate stress and mood. It’s use in conjunction with psychotherapy, has shown to provide lasting symptom improvement.
Preparation Sessions
If you are considering Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy, I will meet with you for a minimum of three sessions prior to discuss your mindset, goals, intentions, and how you want your setting (music, lighting, comfort items) to provide the most optimal experience. KAP sessions run for three hours. We will schedule an integration session to process the experience and help to integrate new insights and changes you may want to make in your life.
